Honorarium:  Videocast Visit $500

Cast your author visit in a brand-new light

with a custom, pre-recorded 30-minute
videocast followed by a live,
15-minute Q&A/drawing session!

I love Zoom and the things it can do, but there are some problems with it that I think this new system can address

With a half-hour-long videocast custom tailored to a specific grade level or classroom, you won’t have to worry about starting at a set time, whether the voice quality or mic is good, or whether there will be odd, binging noises in the background distracting your students.

Instead, you can play the pre-recorded video whenever you’d like – at home or school - or even replay sections of it to highlight important information you're talking about in the classroom (you’ll have access to the videocast for 30 days). Then we schedule a live, 15-minute Q&A/drawing session on Zoom, where I can answer student questions, right from my home studio (or, if you prefer, I can do a prerecorded Q&A/drawing session).

The videocast connection is super simple - just like being able to connect to Netflix, with a URL and password. If a student is absent, they can view it later. What's more, the videocast can begin just days after scheduling. Book orders can be signed and sent to the school through my website or your favorite bookseller.

I take special care to make this program unique by using advanced video techniques to show my ideas in great detail. As remote visits go, it’s the best of both worlds; students can view the videocast as often as they (or you) would like, then have time to brainstorm questions about my work or theirs before talking with me in real time during the scheduled, live Q&A.

If you'd like to see a sample of what a videocast is like (I have made videos for Kindergarten through sixth grade), open this link or scroll to the bottom of this page and view it.

When you’re ready, just go ahead and schedule. It’s affordable and it can be made just for you and your school and your students.

Still not sure it's the right thing for you? Send me an email with your questions. I'll be happy to answer them!
